The town/city received some slight nationwide publicity in November 2006 when longtime resident Waldo Mc - Burney, age 104, was proclaimed the earliest worker in the United States. Quinter is positioned at 39 3 57 N 100 14 13 W (39.065706, -100.236828). According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 0.99 square miles (2.56 km2), all of it land. As of the census of 2010, there were 918 citizens , 374 homeholds, and 251 families residing in the city.
